Justin Michaelian is in his rookie season with the Victoria Grizzlies. Justin played midget major U18 hockey last year for Victory Honda in the Detroit area and the team won the state championship.
Michaelian was the first Victory Honda alumni to join the Grizzlies this season, while last year’s teammates TJ Friedmann and Shawn O’Malley have since joined Michaelian mid season.
Michaelian’s first two BCHL goals were game winners for the Grizzlies and the 2nd coming in double overtime; 3 on 3 hockey. Michaelian has also scored a penalty shot goal this year.
He is described by Coach Didmon as, “a well rounded player that can score timely goals with an intelligent defensive game that makes him a great asset for our hockey club in a lot of situations”.
Justin has a twin brother Brendon who plays defense for the Amarillo Bulls of the N.A.H.L.This is the first year of the twins career that they haven’t played hockey together.
