GRIZZLIES VS KINGS – Round 2

The Grizzlies set some records and came back from being down 3-0 in Round 1 against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs winning Game 7 by a 3-1 score. The BCHL record books are incomplete but this is the first such comeback in memory since the league website was created in 2003-04. 

Now the Grizzlies turn their attention to Round 2 of the playoffs and will take on the No. 3 seed Powell River Kings in the Island Division final in another best of 7 game series

  • Friday, March 16 in Victoria at the Q Centre Arena – 7pm
  • Saturday, March 17 in Victoria at the Q Centre Arena – 7pm
  • Monday, March 19 in Powell River 7pm – Viewing Party at City Centre Grille
  • Tuesday, March 20 in Powell River 7pm
  • Friday, March 23 in Victoria at the Q Centre Arena – 7pm *
  • Saturday, March 24 in Powell River 7pm *
  • Monday, March 26 in Victoria at the Q Centre Arena – Victoria 7pm  *

OTHER DIVISIONS PLAYOFF UPDATES

  • MAINLAND DIVISION: The No. 1 seed Prince George Spruce Kings will take on the No. 3 seed Surrey Eagles in the Division final. Games 1 and 2 are in Prince George on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17.  Both games are 7 p.m. starts
    (Prince George defeated Chilliwack 3-1 in Game 7 yesterday. Chilliwack will be in action again at the RBC Cup).

 

  • INTERIOR DIVISION: The No. 1 seed Penticton Vees will take on the No. 4 seed Trail Smoke Eaters in the Division semifinal. Games 1 and 2 are in Penticton. Friday, March 16 (7 p.m.) and Saturday, March 17 (6 p.m.).
    (Penticton swept Coquitlam in four games in Round 1 while Trail swept West Kelowna).

 

  • INTERIOR DIVISION: The No. 2 seed Vernon Vipers will take on the No. 3 seed Wenatchee Wild in the other Division semifinal. Games 1 and 2 are in Vernon. Friday, March 16 (7 p.m.) and Saturday, March 17 (6 p.m.).
    (Vernon swept Salmon Arm in Round 1 while Wenatchee swept Merritt).
