The Victoria Grizzlies have committed to five players for next season.

Jared Eng 92’ defenseman from Vancouver NW Giants Major Midget Champions.

Brett Kolins 92’ defenseman from PIJHL Abbotsford Pilots Jr. B.

Nick Buchanan 91’ defenseman from VIJHL Victoria Cougars Jr. B.

Derek Bacon 91’ Forward from the Calgary Edge ‘AAA’ Major Midget Academy

Joel Lowrey 91’ Forward from the Calgary Buffaloes ‘AAA’ Major Midget Champions


We are please to have all five players’ part of our program for next year. Jared Eng is a gifted offensive player who had a tremendous year for the BC Major Midget Champions. Brett Kolins brings a tenacious work ethic and defensive game to table for us. Nick is a 6’5 rear guard who played numerous games for us last season. Derek Bacon is a skilled forward from the Edge program. He is a gritty offensive style forward with a great work ethic. Joel Lowrey is a gifted all around player who’s dedicated to both ends of the arena.
