Nick is enjoying his third season with the Grizzlies hockey club. Born and raised in the West Shore, Guiney played most of his minor hockey out of The Q Centre arena for JDF Minor Hockey and grew up watching the Victoria Grizzlies as his family has been a billet host for over a decade.
Hampered early in the season with an upper body injury, Guiney has recently found his stride and has contributed regularly on the scoreboard since his return. Offensively gifted, Guiney is dangerous in the offensive zone with a great shot and playmaking ability and is hoping to catch the eye of a NCAA school.
Nick’s younger brother Jordan plays for the Westshore Wolves of the VIJHL, regularly AP’s with the parent club and will be a regular with the team next season.
