2022-23 Grizzlies MVP Agrees to Pro Tryout with ECHL’s Fort Wayne Komets

FORT WAYNE, INDIANA. – The Victoria Grizzlies 2022-23 MVP, Olivier Picard has agreed to a pro tryout with the Fort Wayne Komets of the East Coast Hockey League.

The Komets announced on August 8th that they had agreed to this tryout with Picard. Olivier, 21, spent all of last season with Victoria where he recorded 29 goals and 58 points in 53 games. Picard would also clean up in the team hardware department as he took home: MVP, Governor’s Choice Top Road Player and Top Scorer.

Before coming to Victoria, Olivier spent four seasons in the QMJHL with the Val-d’Or Foreurs and St. John Sea Dogs where he racked up 140 PIM in 139 games while capturing a Memorial Cup with the Sea Dogs in 2021-22.
