Nolan Welsh is the youngest member of the Victoria Grizzlies forwards. Currently completing his grade 12 at Belmont Secondary school, Welsh came to the Grizzlies via Burnaby Winter Club Hockey Academy.
The Whistler native joined his older brother Tyler on the team, after winning a spot with an impressive training camp and preseason. Throughout the season the Grizzlies coaching staff have been continually impressed with the young center’s development and look for him to be a top offensive player next season.
The 5’11 175 pound right-hander brings speed and grit to the hockey team and as HC/GM Craig Didmon states, “This year we look for Nolan to bring depth to our line up, good defensive play and adding a spark to the game when needed. Next season we look for Nolan to make the next step and become an offensive weapon as well”.
