Eagles In Town For Second Meeting of The Season

Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies are back at home tonight at 6:00 p.m. against the Surrey Eagles, hoping to build on last night’s big win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

The Grizzlies got two goals from Sam Rousseau, one from Artur Gross and another from Owen Warnick yesterday evening up island for a 4-2 win over their Coastal West Division rivals. With that win, they now sit third in the division with a 14-12-0 record.

The Surrey Eagles are riding a five-game losing streak and are 2-21-3 this season, putting them at the very bottom of the BCHL standings. They fought hard last night in Nanaimo but were shut out 2-0 at the Frank Crane Arena.

Victoria defeated the Eagles in the first weekend of the season, 8-5, but they haven’t seen each other since.
