Port Alberni, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies are set for a match up on the road tonight against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs from the Weyerhauser Arena at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
Victoria has won five in a row to start the year and are looking to reincarnate at least something like last Friday night when they beat these very same Bulldogs 9-3 from the Q Centre. Drew Hockley had two goals and two assists in that game while Reegan Hiscock had a hatrick.
The Grizzlies are coming off a 3-2 victory over the Nanaimo Clippers last night on the road as well in a game that saw them hold off a late attack from Nanaimo to secure that fifth win in a row.
On the other end of the ice tonight, the Bulldogs are looking to end a three game slide which start with that 9-3 loss to the Grizzlies and most recently was continued on last night from the Cowichan Community Centre where they lost 4-1.
Tyler Hodges will look for a repeat performance tonight between the pipes for the Grizzlies as he has been stellar the last three games. During those three games he is 3-0 with a 1.67 GAA and .949 SV%. He stopped 32 of 35 against the Bulldogs on the 27th.
