Coquitlam, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies prepare to shake off a 6-3 loss last night and look to push the Express to the brink this evening in game four of this Coastal Conference Quarterfinal which the Grizzlies lead two games to one.

Victoria will look to reincarnate their start to yesterday evening’s contest which saw them outshoot Coquitlam 22-5 and lead 3-1 after twenty minutes. They will not, however, look to do what they did in the second period, which was give up three straight goals in the first ten minutes to inevitably lose the game.

Victoria will certainly feel as though they had a game slip through their hands yesterday evening as they vastly outplayed the Express in the first and second period however it was that middle frame that really bit them and ended their chances at a 3-0 series lead. The Grizzlies outshot Coquitlam a combined 41-10 in the first and second period.

Kyle Kelsey will look for a bounce back game for Victoria tonight after allowing five on 23 shots last night, however there were certainly a plethora of moments where Grizzlies mishaps lead to him being hung out to dry.

A major positive to take away for the Grizzlies is the stellar play of Landon Mackie. The Victoria native finished his sophomore year by putting up 22 points in the final 26 games of the year (10-12-22) and has picked up right where he left off with four points in the first two games (2-2-4).

Puck drop goes at 7:00 PM this evening and you can listen for free on the Grizzlies Radio Network on mixLR.
