Game Day Preview: Grizzlies vs Spruce Kings February 1, 2025

Victoria, BC
~ The Victoria Grizzlies host the Prince George Spruce Kings tonight at 6:00 PM from the Q Centre in an effort to get back in the win column.

Victoria has dropped two in a row in overtime following last night’s 5-4 loss to the Nanaimo Clippers and last Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the Langley Rivermen. Scorers for Victoria included; Reegan Hiscock (17), Seamus Latta (8,9) and Jacksenn Hungle (9).

Although the Grizzlies dropped last nights game, they extended their point streak to seven straight games picking up a point and a 5-0-2 record in that span. They now sit one point back of Surrey for second place in the Coastal Conference and hold two games in hand over the Eagles.

The Grizzlies won their first meeting 4-3 in overtime before Prince George stomped them 8-2 the following night in Prince George. They also won their last meeting at the Q Centre 2-1 on Teddy Bear Toss night.

Tonight will be a be game for the Grizzlies trying to take the second spot in the Coastal Conference while retaining a game in hand on Surrey. Tonight is also “HMCS Vancouver Night” at the Q Centre making for what should be another great crowd. Victoria is experiencing a spike in attendance since the beginning of the new year with attendance up over 30%. The Grizzlies are reaping the bene
