Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies get set to hit the ice at home for the first time this season albeit still in exhibition hockey.
Tonight they will face off against the Nanaimo Clippers, the team that hey sent packing in the first round last year in five games. The Clippers are coming off an emotion filled 7-5 loss against Alberni Valley on Wednesday.
“We are playing a good team here tonight,” said Grizzlies head coach Rylan Ferster, “I got to watch them on Wednesday and they have good size and can skate well and have a good back end. I think this will be an eye opening experience for a lot of our younger guys.”
Victoria hit the ice this past week with their full team and no camp invitees for the first time, meaning that they will be sending out a much more full lineup than their previous two pre season games against Alberni Valley and Cowichan Valley.
Puck drop is at 6:00 PM from the Q Centre and tickets are available here.
