Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies head up Island to take on a familiar foe in the Alberni Valley Bulldogs at 7:00 PM from the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
The Grizz are hoping to build off a 6-5 shootout win last night, in a game that was not pretty, however they were able to make it work by mounting a third period comeback. That comeback was highlighted by two third period goals for Reegan Hiscock (11th & 12th).
Victoria has gone hammer and tong three times with Alberni this year and have come out the victors twice. They first won 9-3 on their home opener on September 27th, lost 4-3 on October 5th in Alberni Valley and then shut out the Bulldogs 3-0 on November 8th from the Q Centre in Victoria.
Reegan Hiscock leads the way for Victoria this season with five points against Alberni including four goals and a hat trick in that 9-3 win. Both Tom Molson and Malcolm Green have four points this season against Alberni Valley.
Julian Cull will look to continue his hot play of late as he has scored in four straight games and is on a five game point streak as well. Chase Pirtle is on a six game point streak while both Alex Hebblethwaite and Oscar Pantzare have five game point streaks.
Kyle Kelsey will start between the pipes for Victoria for his first meeting with the Bulldogs since his 2021-22 rookie campaign.
Evan Stastny will play in Alberni Valley for the first time since being traded go the Grizzlies before the holiday break.
