Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies announced Wednesday morning that they have signed Sacred Heart University committed forward Rich Rucireto for the 2025-26 season.
Rich joins the Grizzlies from the Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League, where he had a very impressive 2024-25 campaign. Rich finished the year with 29 goals and 68 points in just 59 games, and that point total was good enough for 9th in the NAHL.
Rich, who is from Staten Island, New York, spent his U18 AAA hockey with the Long Island Gulls system from 2021-24. During that time, he was teammates with current Grizzlies defenseman Dan D’Alessandro, giving him some familiarity with the Grizzlies program.
