Powell River, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies walked away with a 6-0 win over the Kings on Sunday afternoon thanks to Paolo Frasca’s first BCHL shutout and six separate goal scorers from the Hap Parker Arena in Powell River.
Victoria put the game to bed in the first period, scoring four goals in the final 10 minutes of the frame to lead 4-0 after twenty. Those tallies came from Trae Johnson (on the powerplay), Landon Mackie, Vidar Blixt & Rich Rucireto.
In the second period they added two more from Levi Eiter and Max Silver to lead 6-0 after two.
No scoring would come in the final twenty with the only note able happening being Tayjon Street having his way with David Holub in a fight with just under a minute to go. That fight start after Holub boarded Victoria’s Trae Johnson.
Paolo Frasca made some splendid saves in his 38 stops for his first shutout in the BCHL in his first start.
The Grizzlies are back in action on Friday night at the Q Centre for their home opener against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.
