GRIZZLIES DUMP CLIPPERS IN PRE-SEASON ACTION

Dante Hahn had a goal and an assist to pace the Victoria Grizzlies to a 4-1 win over the Nanaimo Clippers in B.C. Hockey League pre-season play in Sooke on Tuesday night.

Hahn set up Garrett Skrbich for the opening goal just 1:31 in, before adding his own goal late in the first period as Victoria grabbed a 3-1 lead.

The Fitzgerald triplets — Gerry, Mles and Leo — combined on the second Victoria marker, with Gerry tallying the goal. Brett Hartskamp recorded the only marker of the second period for a 4-1 Grizzlies’ advantage. D.J. Jones had a pair of helpers for the victors.

Kyle Kramer had replied for Nanaimo, tying it at 1-1 at 6:10 of the first period.
