Port Alberni, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies fell to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Saturday night from the Weyerhauser Arena at the Alberni Valley Multiplex, 4-3 on a hotly contested evening.
Victoria led 2-0 at the first intermission thanks to goals from Malcolm Green and Drew Hockley however Alberni would tie the game halfway through the second with two goals in the first ten minutes.
Reegan Hiscock retook the lead for Victoria heading into the 2nd intermission with his 7th of the year.
Alberni was generously given a 5-3 powerplay early in the third and they would capitalize twice in the first three minutes on the powerplay and would hold on for a controversial victory.
Victoria returns home on Saturday night next weekend to host the Trail Smoke Eaters.
