Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies feel to the Coquitlam Express 3-2 in overtime after a controversial call allowed the Express to tie the game with four seconds remaining.
Victoria took the lead in the first period on Stone Rolston’s fourth tally of the year before Coquitlam tied the game in the second.
Chase Pirtle put the Grizzlies ahead of n the powerplay in the third before Coquitlam tied the game with 4 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime. That goal was controversial in the fact that the puck never went in. The shot off the end wall landed at the side of the net and a one timer hit the post before hitting goaltender Kyle Kelsey. Referees said the puck had gone in however video showed otherwise and review was not available.
Victoria fell in overtime having them feel certainly hard done by.
Victoria returns home this coming weekend with games against West Kelowna and Coquitlam.
