GRIZZLIES FINISH STRONG

Saturday night the Grizzlies finished their final exhibition game of the season where they beat the Cowichan Valley Capitals 4-3 at the Island Savings Centre in Duncan.

The first period the Grizzlies took the game by the horns scoring three goals, first by Nick Charif, Second by Gerry Fitzgerald and third by Jacob Kearley where the Capitals would only get one past Nic Renyard by Mason Malkowich.

In the second only two goals were scored while the intensity of the game rose, Capitals Taki Pantziris would score for the Capitals on the powerplay while Gerry Fitzgerald would get his second of the game and after forty minutes the Grizzlies led 4-2.

With the final twenty minutes the Capitals would get within one but it wasn’t enough as the Grizzlies take the game 4-3.

The Victoria Grizzlies went 2-1-1 during the Exhibition. Next up for the Grizzlies is the Bauer Showcase in Chilliwack.
