The Victoria Grizzlies are proud to announce the creation of a major community initiative in partnership with Maxxam Insurance.
The Grizzlies and Maxxam Insurance are proud to announce that they have entered into a 3-year partnership to provide FREE admission to all local youth 18 and under when accompanied by an adult to all Grizzlies pre-season, regular season and playoff games.
In conjunction with the Grizzlies announcement, Maxxam Insurance also announced the program will be introduced in Duncan for the Cowichan Valley Capitals as well. This marks a major commitment to the two BCHL rivals, but more importantly to the families of the South Island.
“This program will be a game changer not only for the Grizzlies, but the families of the Westshore. Grizzlies Hockey is now a true destination for affordable family fun! This was a goal we set out to achieve as soon as we acquired the franchise” said Grizzlies president David Michaud. “We can’t wait to open the doors of the Q Centre and welcome in families to spend a night out with us!. I’m grateful to Maxxam Insurance for believing in this program and supporting this initiative not only in Victoria, but in Duncan as well. This is truly a great time for hockey fans in both communities”
“When David Michaud and Jim Hartshorne approached Bill Rai and myself, we were extremely excited to support the Grizzlies organization and the communities we have deep business roots in” said John Dewar, managing partner of Maxxam Insurance. “As a local business in these communities, we felt it was extremely important to be able to support such a great program so all families in the Westshore, Victoria and the Cowichan Valley are able to experience some of the best Jr. Hockey in Canada at affordable pricing. With the new Grizzlies ownership we are excited to be able to provide a fun, family destination for everyone on Southern Vancouver island”.
The Grizzlies announced earlier this summer that adult season ticket memberships start at $319.00 with Seniors & Military at just $279.00. The Grizzlies home opener is on September 27th when they host the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. Season Tickets are on sale now by CLICKING HERE
This summer continues to be a momentous one for a Grizzlies franchise who return a solid cast of veteran players like BCHL Rookie Of the Year Chase Pirtle, and a strong class of incoming recruits. The Q Centre will be the place to be for affordable family fun, and fast paced, entertaining hockey. Grizzlies Hockey, Where the Westshore Comes Together!
