GRIZZLIES MAKE MOVES ON TRADE DEADLINE

The Victoria Grizzlies Hockey Club were busy on the January 10 trade deadline adding two 20 year old veteran forwards.

 

The Grizzlies are pleased to welcome Pearce Eviston (former Grizzlies player 2009/10) acquired from the Vernon Vipers and Keyler Bruce acquired from the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

 

Eviston measures in at 6' 1" and 190 lbs and will be in the line up Friday in Alberni Valley.  Eviston was second in scoring with the Vipers recording 9 goals and 15 assists.

 

Coach Bestwick comments, "Pearce has the potential and all the attributes to be the best player on the ice….a real game breaker.".

 

Keyler Bruce joins the Grizzlies from the Capitals measuring in at 5' 10" and 185 lbs.  Bruce was the Captain and leader of the Caps.

 

Coach Bestwick, "Keyler has been one of the toughest players game in and game out to play against. We are excited to have his energy on our side."

 

Bruce will play his first Grizzlies game on Friday in Alberni against the Bulldogs.
