Rivermen Claw Back for Overtime Win Over Grizzlies

Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies fell 3-2 in over time on Saturday night to the Langley Rivermen in a game which they largely controlled the run of play.

Victoria was on the front foot in the first period with goals from Easton Kovacs and Reegan Hiscock sending the Grizzlies into the first intermission up 2-0.

Victoria would outshoot the Rivermen in the 2nd: 26-6 however they would also go 0/5 on the powerplay. Langley would score the lone goal of the period.

The Rivermen battled back and tied the game late on the powerplay after a point shot was tipped in by their captain; Tyler Chan.

Newcomer; Ilya Rogovsky would win it in overtime for the Rivermen with their only shot of the extra period.

Victoria takes to the road this week with stops in Vernon on Wednesday, before making their way north to Prince George on Friday and Saturday.
