Tom Molson Moves On To Yale

Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies are pleased to announce that Tom Molson will be heading to Yale University this fall to begin his NCAA Hockey career with the Bulldogs.

Tom was an invaluable member of the Grizzlies’ run to the Coastal Conference Finals this past season and was recently named Rookie of the Year. Molson had 49 points in 54 regular-season games before adding 17 points in 17 postseason games.

“It was an honor to be part of the Grizzlies organization,” said Tom. “Throughout a long season, everyone involved with the team did everything they could to treat us like professionals. This environment has certainly prepared me to go to Yale and continue to develop both on and off the ice. It was truly an amazing year.”

Although the Grizzlies are sad to see Tom leave, the entire organization takes pride in the fact that Tom has developed throughout the year to be ready for the next level. Molson joins several “top dogs” for the Grizzlies who will be either moving on or aging out, including Chase Pirtle, Reegan Hiscock, Malcolm Green, Easton Kovacs, and Oliver Auyeung-Ashton. An exciting opportunity has been presented to the Grizzlies, who will see some new and familiar faces slot into key roles for the 2025-26 BCHL campaign.

The Grizzlies would like to thank Tom Molson for his memorable year in “Garden City” and wish him the best of luck as he takes his talents to New Haven.
