TOUGH LOSS

Grizzlies and Kings were back in action on Saturday evening with an early start of 5:00PM at Hap Parker Arena.

Coach Bestwick made a few line changes from last night’s game; first change he put Alec Dillon in net, Jesse Schwartz was scratched due to personal reasons which meant Cole Pickup was in and prior to the game Bestwick scratched Leo Fitzgerald.

The Kings would get on the board first with just 27 seconds in Jarid Lukosevicius would net his first BCHL goal. Then shortly after JJ Choleshaw would put the Kings up 2-0 but before the end of the period though Victoria’s Storm Wahlrab would score his first BCHL goal assisted by Brandon Egli.

Second period was ugly for the Grizzlies, the Kings would get two unanswered goals first on the powerplay at 6:02 by Ryan Scarfo and then at 16:25 Jarid Lukosevicius would get his second goal of the night.

During the third period the Grizzlies tried to crawl back with scoring one early in the third period by Gerry Fitzgerald but it wasn’t enough as the Powell River Kings would win 4-2.

Grizzlies go 1-1 on the weekend.. Grizzlies are back in action Friday night versus the Nanaimo Clippers on September 20th at Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo.
