Victoria Adds Anderson For Stretch Run

Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies announced on Sunday morning that they have added 2007 born Forward Max Anderson to the squad, effective immediately.

Anderson, who will be in the lineup tonight against Surrey, comes to Victoria from the King Rebellion of the OJHL, where he recorded 11 goals and 17 points in 27 games to begin the season. His strong play led to getting the call to represent Team Canada East in the World Junior A Challenge this past December in Quebec. The Whitby, Ontario native picked up two goals and an assist in that tournament.

Anderson, a third-round pick of the OHL’s Flint Firebirds, appeared in 18 games as a 16-year-old with Flint before getting a full-time spot last season. He scored two goals and added three assists in 47 games of limited ice time.

He is described as a hard-nosed, yet undersized winger who is not afraid to get his nose dirty. Victoria will see him slide right into the lineup Sunday late afternoon in Surrey.
