Victoria And Prince George Sharpen Swords And Clash Again

Prince George, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies are back in action this evening at the Kopar Memorial Arena in Prince George, with puck drop at 6:00 p.m., hoping to shake off yesterday’s 5-4 loss.

The squad put forth a splendid effort last night, outshooting their hosts 32-24, yet it just wasn’t written in the stars for them to be the victors of Friday evening.

The Grizzlies were without their leading scorer, Samuel Rousseau and will be without him again tonight, listed as day-to-day with an upper body injury. It is certainly a big loss to not have the Quebec native with them, but the team played admirably in his absence. They will continue to look throughout the lineup for people to step up without him.

A big story from last night was Denny Monahan scoring his first BCHL goal in his second season in Victoria. The Princeton commit took 86 regular-season games to finally get one, but the mood around the team certainly was lifted after seeing him follow his own rebound to pot his first.

Puck drop is at 6:00 pm PST and is available to listen to live for free on Mixlr, the official audio stream app of the Grizzlies. Click here.
