Victoria Grizzlies clip Caps to extend winning streak to six games

The Victoria Grizzlies kept on rolling Monday night at Weyerhaeuser Arena in Port Alberni.

The Grizzlies won their sixth consecutive B.C. Hockey League game with a 5-1 victory over the Cowichan Valley Capitals. Connor Eddy scored twice and Eddie Yan, Desmond Arthurs and Colby Joseph once each for the Grizzlies as they moved to 8-2 in the standings. Max Bulawka replied as the Capitals fell to 2-7-1.

The Nanaimo Clippers (4-3) and Alberni Valley Bulldogs (4-2-2) meet tonight at the Weyerhaeuser Arena hub, in which all BCHL Island Division teams are playing their 20-game seasons.

The Clippers play the Capitals on Wednesday afternoon and the Grizzlies meet the Bulldogs that night.
