The Victoria Grizzlies (5-2) growled back from a three-goal deficit to defeat the Alberni Valley Bulldogs 4-3 in BCHL Island Division play Wednesday night.
Eddie Yan scored with two seconds remaining in overtime for the winner. Steven Castagna and two goals by Lukas Jirousek gave the Bulldogs (2-2-2) a 3-0 lead by 8:03 of the second period. Goals by Jake Veilleux, Nicholas O’Hanisain and Henri Schreifels tied it for the Grizzlies.
The Nanaimo Clippers (4-2) play the Bulldogs tonight, while the Grizzlies meet the Cowichan Valley Capitals (2-4-1) on Friday night. All teams are playing 20 games, all in Port Alberni.
