Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies announced on Monday morning that they have signed 20-year-old netminder Casimir Weckstrom for the remainder of the season.
Casimir will join the Grizzlies squad after ten games in the NAHL with the Wisconsin Windigo of the NAHL, where he has posted a 6-3-0 record and an impressive 2.60 GAA and .927 SV%. That save percentage is tied for 3rd among qualified goaltenders in the league.
Weckstrom hails from the maritime city of Kokkola, Finland and came up through the Vaasan Sport U16-U20 system. He made the move to North America in 2024-25, joining the London Nationals of the GOJHL in Ontario.
