Dalhousie Tigers men’s hockey head coach Chris Donnelly is pleased to announce the commitment of
Cameron Thompson for the 2019-20 season.

Thompson played the last three seasons with his hometown team, the Victoria Grizzlies of the British
Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). He recorded 120 points in the 160 regular season games he played for the Grizzles, helping them to three BCHL division titles during his time with the team. The 5’11 forward was named the Grizzlies 2017-18 Playoff MVP, scoring seven goals in that year’s playoff run. “I am really looking forward to attending Dalhousie and to be playing for the Tigers,” says Thompson. “It’s a great opportunity for me to come in and contribute to the hockey program. I am really excited to get started.”

Thompson will be working towards a Bachelor of Arts during his time at Dalhousie.
“Cameron is an explosive offensive player, which is exactly what we were looking to add to our forward
group,” says Donnelly. “A point a game forward playing in the very competitive BCHL, Cam combines
his skill with his work ethic to achieve success in his game. Our academic reputation is what drew Cam
to make the cross-country trip to join our program.”
