The fifth-seed Victoria Grizzlies evened their B.C. Hockey League Coastal Conference opening-round playoff series against the fourth-seed Rivermen 1-1 with an 8-3 victory Saturday night at George Preston Arena in Langley.
Matthew Wood, finalist for both the BCHL MVP and top rookie awards, Kalen Szeto, Connor Eddy, Michael Hoekstra, Devon deVries, Jack Gorton, Noah Leibl and defenceman Hoyt Stanley scored for the Grizzlies.
The third and fourth games are Tuesday and Wednesday at The Q Centre
