GAMEDAY: GRIZZLIES HOST THE RIVERMEN FOR FAN APPRECIATION DAY

Come on down to the Q centre for our annual Fan Appreciation Game where the Grizzlies look to keep up their winning ways versus the strong Langley Rivermen.

We have tons of prizes to giveaway! A team signed retro jersey, a TV courtesy of Atlas Audio Video, season tickets, merch coupons and much more! Every fan will get a chance at these great prizes!

Head to head (season series): – 2-2-0-0 – Today’s game against the Rivermen will be the fifth meeting between the teams this season. After not playing each other in the shortened pod season last season, the teams have produced some thrilling games on the season. Langley took the first two games, with the Grizzlies producing some high scoring wins in their third and fourth matches against the rivermen. Watch for today’s game to be an exciting one for the fans as we celebrate our Fan Appreciation Day!

Players to watch:

Grizzlies: Noah Leibl – Leibl is coming off of his first career multi goal game with his heroics in last nights game against Nanaimo. He was named the first star of the game. The forward has found a role with the grizzlies since being acquired from Cranbrook and has totalled 6 points and 12 penalty minutes in 22 games since the trade. Leibl is riding a personal three game point streak coming into this afternoon’s game so watch for him to try to build off his recent success

Rivermen: – Ryan Upson – the fourth year forward is enjoying a breakout season, scoring at just under a point per game pace with 40 points in 44 games. He is coming into the game on a personal four game point streak where he has 7 points.
