Grizzlies looking to clinch series

Victoria BC – The Victoria Grizzlies are leading the Nanaimo Clippers 3-1 in an intense battle to wrap up Round 1.

Here’s how the island showdown has unfolded:

Game 1: Victoria – Grizzlies emerge victorious with a 4-2 win.

Game 2: Victoria – Grizzlies continue their dominance with an 8-2 triumph.

Game 3: Nanaimo – Grizzlies suffer a setback, falling 5-3.

Game 4: Nanaimo – Grizzlies bounce back for a hard-fought 3-2 come from behind win.

In Game 4, the Grizzlies displayed resilience after trailing 2-0 in the first period. Head Coach Rylan Ferster rallied the team to stick to their game plan, and with just 1:21 remaining in the first period, Luc Pelletier found the net assisted by Charlie Gollob and Richard Baran.

The second period saw only one goal, scored by Chase Pirtle with an assist from Tim Busconi.

Early in the third period, on a power-play opportunity, Chase Pirtle netted the decisive goal, securing the victory. Assists came from Charlie Gollob and Richard Baran.

The Grizzlies play at the Q Centre this Friday 12 Mar and are looking for that one more victory.
