GRIZZLIES MOVE INTO SECOND OVERALL IN BCHL WITH PERFECT WEEKEND

The Victoria Grizzlies moved into second overall as of Sunday afternoon, with a 4-3 road win over the Coquitlam Express.

Playing their third game on the road, in less than forty eight hours, did not deter the Grizzlies as Alec Dillon turned aside 29 of 32 shots for his third consecutive victory.

Newcomer Garrett Forster with two goals on the day, along with a single helper from Joel Gaudet and the game winner from Jay Mackie were the marksmen for the Grizzlies.

Marc Biega, Canon Piper and Cory Biega scored for the Express.
The win catapulted the Victoria squad into second overall in the BCHL, and third overall in winning percentage in the eighteen team loop.

The squad also stands second in the league in total wins to date, with 15.

The perfect weekend also appears to have galvanized an ailing and injured squad, who struggled to ice a full roster for the weekend’s games.

With a roster filled with newcomers, missing several key players, and with many players playing in new line combinations, the team managed the rare feat of winning three games in three days.
Next up, the 15-7-2-1 Grizzlies will play only their second home game of November against the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

The Capitals – 11-5-0-1 – and Grizzlies square off for a 7:05 puck drop on Wednesday, November 20th at 7:05 PM.
