Roster Moves Take Place Before Weekend Homestand

Victoria, BC ~ The Victoria Grizzlies announced on Wednesday morning that they have made a pair of roster moves ahead of this weekend’s all-important home stand.

First, the Grizzlies made it known that they have acquired 20-year-old forward Carson Lesiuk from the Coquitlam Express in exchange for Future Considerations. Carson is a highly experienced player in the BCHL with stops in Penticton, Nanaimo, and Coquitlam so far in his 104-game career. He also appeared in two games with Cowichan as an AP as a 16-year-old-old.

Standing at six-foot-three and weighing in at 210 pounds, Carson adds all-important size to the Grizzly forward mix while providing elite character. The Duncan native is known for his strong presence in the room and even began this season as the Nanaimo Clipper captain. He is all too familiar with Victoria, having come up through the Pacific Coast Hockey Academy and hailing from just over an hour away in the Cowichan Valley.

In another move, Victoria announced that forward Max Silver has left the team to join the Victoria Royals of the WHL. The team would like to wish Max all the best moving forward and wish him nothing but the best in this next step of his career.
