Victoria Grizzlies Present $21,363 to Sooke Transition House Society from Record Mega 50/50 Jackpot

The Victoria Grizzlies proudly presented a cheque for $21,363 to the Sooke Transition House Society on Saturday night at centre ice of the Q Centre, representing the charitable proceeds from the club’s record-setting Mega 50/50 Jackpot.

The Mega 50/50, presented by Verity Construction and the South Island Home Team, generated tremendous support from Grizzlies fans and community partners. The initiative not only delivered one of the largest jackpots in franchise history, but also created a meaningful opportunity to give back locally.

The donation was formally presented to Tara Wolff of the Sooke Transition House Society by Victoria Grizzlies President David Michaud during an on-ice ceremony.

“These moments are what community sport is all about,” said Michaud. “Our fans showed up in a big way, and because of that support, we’re able to make a significant contribution to an organization doing critical work in our region. We are proud to stand alongside the Sooke Transition House Society and support the families they serve.”

The Sooke Transition House Society provides essential services and safe housing for individuals and families in need throughout the region. The funds raised will help support their ongoing programs and community initiatives.

The Victoria Grizzlies extend sincere appreciation to Verity Construction, the South Island Home Team, and the entire Bear Country community for making this contribution possible.
