Scholarship Announcement

The Victoria Grizzlies (BCHL) are pleased to announce the commitment of Defenseman Rory McGuire to Colgate University (NCAA Division 1) for the Fall of 2015. McGuire joined the Grizzlies for his rookie season following a stellar career at St. Andrews College under the tutelage of Coach David Manning. McGuire captained the team his Senior year and was also the Schools valedictorian.
McGuire joins teammates Alec Dillon (RPI) and Brandon Egli (U Mass) as early season commitments to NCAA Division 1 institutions.
Coach Bestwick on the McGuire commitment, "Rory is very deserving of this opportunity and has excelled in the classroom and on the ice throughout his formative years. He will be a great addition to Colgate in a couple years and has already emerged as a leader on our team. We look forward to working with Rory on his development and extend our sincere congratulations to him."
