Grizzlies Sign Forward Jase Johnstone

The Victoria Grizzlies are excited to announce the signing of 2006-born forward Jase Johnstone for the upcoming season.

Johnstone, from Whitehorse in the Yukon, has ties to Victoria as he spent 3 seasons playing at the Pacific Coast Academy in Langford for his U16-U18 career.  Johnstone spent last season with Drumheller in the AJHL where he put 13 goals and added 15 helpers for 28 points in 46 games in his rookie junior hockey season.  Johnstone added 1 goal and 4 assists for 5 points in 9 playoff games for the Dragons.

“Jase is a player we’re familiar with from his time in Victoria. We’ve always admired his game, and after a quality season in Drumheller, we’re excited to bring him back to Victoria and join the Grizzlies,” said head coach and general manager Geoff Grimwood.
