Grizzlies Unveil 2026-2027 Schedule

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Grizzlies and the BCHL have officially released the 2026-27 regular season schedule, highlighted by marquee matchups, fan-favourite promotions and several historic firsts at The Q Centre.

The Grizzlies open the home schedule on Friday, September 25 when they welcome the Surrey Eagles to The Q Centre, kicking off another season of BCHL hockey in Bear Country.

Among the biggest dates on the calendar is Saturday, October 31, when the Grizzlies host the defending back-to-back BCHL champion Brooks Bandits for the first time in franchise history. The Halloween showdown marks Brooks’ first-ever visit to Victoria and promises to be one of the marquee events of the season.

Before that, the Grizzlies will make history themselves by embarking on the organization’s first-ever Alberta road trip. In early October, Victoria will travel to face the Blackfalds Bulldogs and Spruce Grove Saints as the club continues to build rivalries across the expanded BCHL.

Several of the organization’s signature promotional nights also return for the 2026-27 season.

The annual Teddy Bear Toss takes place on Sunday, December 13 when the Grizzlies host the Langley Rivermen in a family-friendly afternoon game. Last season’s Teddy Bear Toss created one of the most memorable atmospheres of the year as thousands of stuffed animals rained onto the ice in support of local children, and the club expects this year’s event to be even bigger.

Family Day returns for a second consecutive season on Monday, February 15, as the Cowichan Valley Capitals visit The Q Centre for another afternoon celebration of family hockey. The game will once again feature the Grizzlies’ Mega 50-50 Jackpot, building on the tremendous success of last season when the prize climbed to more than $50,000 and produced one of the largest crowds of the year.

The regular season home schedule concludes in festive fashion on Tuesday, March 17, as the Grizzlies celebrate St. Patrick’s Day while hosting the Nanaimo Clippers in the final home game before the BCHL playoffs.

“We’re excited to bring another incredible season of BCHL hockey to our fans,” said Grizzlies President David Michaud. “This schedule has something for everyone—from Opening Night and the first-ever visit by the Brooks Bandits, to our Teddy Bear Toss, Family Day and so many other special events throughout the season. Our goal is to make every game at The Q Centre an experience families look forward to.”
